Summertime has always been the most busiest time for our family.  Currently, the monkeys and the husband are in Mexico.  As a working mother of two children, I thought I would welcome the peace and quiet.  I have to admit that it is way too strange not to have my babies home with me to enjoy my "time off".

So, as I distract myself from the silence, I have been catching up with my television watching and reading my blogs.  I found these beautiful mood pictures from a Swedish blog called Registration.  Check out her blog + flickr.

jalouse ~ october 2012

Browsing through the 2012 October issue of Jalouse and remembering the editorial that I loved.

Maybe it's because I have never been a fan of the heat, I miss fall so much and wish I could dress in layers again.  While we are wishing, maybe I could be in France too.

samuji ~ resort 2014

Just came home from traveling, but saw the lovely Samuji Resort 2014 Lookbook.  Samuji is a creative studio and design house based in Helsinki, Finland.  Their lookbooks are always so effortless and filled with beautiful pieces that you would keep forever.  (see previous posts here and here)

Good night!

bread and butter

Hello!  Took a little breather from blogging as we have big plans for our house!  We have been busy packing, cleaning and purging for a little remodeling.  We are all done purging (for the most part).  Now we are in the process of tearing down walls to make the whole kitchen/dining/living area into one open entertaining space.  Everything is so exciting and so odd at the same time.  It is thrilling to be able to see more and more of your vision everyday, but it is so strange to see your own house getting ripped apart.  Follow me on instagram to get glimpses of the remodeling process (in between my flood of food pictures)...

So, as I go through changes in my home life, I notice that I tend to get more and more homesick for Asia.  I've been roaming through more Asian streetstyle fashion blogs and online stores lately.  I tend to do it when I get homesick.  I came across a Korean site called "Bread and Butter" that had a darling and whimsical look.  They pair fun sunnies with beautiful braided hair with flowers.  They have a well balance of soft feminine pieces and urban silhouettes.  They photograph both with cityscapes and also with forest greens.  There is an new and fun element in every piece, but nothing is too drastic or extreme.

Much to the husband's dismay, I have rekindled my fondness of Korean dramas once again and maybe that has led me to browse for more Korean streetstyle.  My latest obsession is The People Purple.  Amazing.

jalouse ~ little explorer ~ march 2013

Jalouse featured a whimsical editorial by Gemma Booth for March 2013.  The mood reminds me of Moonrise Kingdom & Fudge Magazine combined.
