eunice's + naomi's picks on accessories
Friday, March 2, 2012 at 1:13PM Blogging or pinning next to Naomi can result in frustration and hilarity. Sometimes she gasps and exclaims at how cute the stuff I have found, sometimes she can be super opinionated and asks me why I am not pinning something for her, blogging a find for her...
The solution? Every time I find a children's line to blog about, I will ask her to pick her favourite, and I will pick mine. So, we will have a "Eunice's choice" and a "Naomi's choice".
As you know by now, I love the pairing of socks & shoes. So I am constantly searching for good shoes & accessories for Naomi.
First of all, I have been a big fan of Nathalie Verlinden for a while. Her brand of vintage-inspired shoes and leather goods is beautiful and creative. Nathalie executes it while using the traditional process of tanning and dyeing, resulting in little imperfections and shading differences. The leather is polished with amber stone and enhanced with beeswax. Her shoes are so beautifully crafted and making you wish you could go to Belgium to see them firsthand. While you might not be able to, Little Fashion Gallery and Enmarge do ship internationally. I love how she covers the classic looks and also the super fun and whimsical ones.

Polka dot + color blocked ankle boots? My favourite.
Naomi surprisingly chose the black bow flats. I thought she would picked something more colourful, but she insisted that she liked those.
I also stumbled upon these darling little purses for kids via misala on etsy. Michelle Chan is originally from Hong Kong but now resides in Dubai. Now, I am in no way ready to give my monkeys allowances yet, but they do like to pick up loose change around the house and save it for donations and charities. These are absolutely perfect.

I opted for the prints (surprise?) -- especially the fairytale-farm inspired print, and the russian doll, the owl print, and nutcracker print!
Naomi loved all the animals and had a really difficult time picking one, and ended up picking the bird (put a bird on it).
Happy Friday! According to my monkey boy's reminder, today is Read Across America, an annual reading motivation and awareness program and it celebrates the birthday of beloved children's author Dr. Seuss.
So grab a book and read for a child... in a house, with a mouse; in a box, with a fox; in the rain and on a train; in a boat, and with a goat...here or there and anywhere!
