moonrise kingdom
Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 12:31PM I just saw the movie trailer to Moonrise Kingdom, I know I am late to the game and most of you probably have see it. But I had to share the beautiful imagery that has me impatient for the movie to come out in the theatres.

Wes Anderson set the story on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965. Two twelve year olds Suzy and Sam fall in love and run away together into the wilderness. This stirs chaos for the adults and authorities who try to hunt them down.
Jessica Hische has done the custom lettering for throughout the movie and in the title and credits.

Costume designer Kasia Walicka Maimone together with Wes Anderson has done a lot of research into the outfits and concepts. The costumes are detailed and intricate, and a majority of them are handmade! Mr. Bishop’s pants are made out of separate squares of loud material sewn together. The collar and cuffs on Suzy's dresses are perfection. Suzy's Sunday school saddle shoes had leather soles like the ones they had in 1960s. The scout uniforms had details from activity buttons, racoon mascot insignia patches made out of felt and hand-sewn onto the uniforms. Tilda Swinton's social service outfits were inspired by structured and tailored women-in-service uniforms. For more details, read about it in Following the Story's Thread on Focus Features.
This film will be release on May 25, 2012.
